0.5 mL vs 1 mL is the wrong first question
"How much filler should I get?" is usually the first thing people ask, me included. Half a syringe or a full one.
The number on its own doesn't tell you much. The same amount looks different on thin lips than on full ones, and depends on where it's placed. Fresh photos of either amount also include swelling, so they're hard to compare.
What I'd rather ask first is what I want to change: height, border, a bit of evenness, or overall size. Then let the injector say which amount they'd start with and why.
